Born and raised in Wisconsin, Tom now calls Los Angeles home. After college, he served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer, then directed a college office of community engagement. After law school, he worked as a trial attorney at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, representing victims of employment discrimination. Today, he is an administrative judge at the EEOC, adjudicating discrimination complaints filed by federal employees. At HoFoCo, he is usually found at the Exchange, where he enjoys the physical exertion of the work and the humor of his fellow volunteers.
